SOLID STUDIOS was started about two years ago, when I was living in Dallas, TX. I was working at a crummy job that I didn’t enjoy, and I wanted to break away and just pursue something that I was interested in. I’ve always been really crafty. From drawing to painting, and gardening. One day I see this post on Pinterest about making concrete planters and thought “ Hey, I can do this”. I bought my first few molds, tried it out, and immediately loved it! I was hooked. I could finally tie in my love for plants and crafting!

It took me some time to understand the new medium that I was working with. Eventually, I got to place where I was happy with my product, and started selling to local plant shops in the Dallas area. Fast forward a year later, and now I live in the Bay Area of California.

All planters are 100% hand dyed, poured, sanded, and sealed by me.

It’s been a huge learning experience so far. I’m still practicing and experimenting with concrete and it’s amazing. I’ve met some pretty wonderful people through this and I am so thankful to everyone who has supported me and my craft. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, and to see what more I can learn and grow into.

If you would like to see some of my planters in person, I am currently stocked at Plant Therapy Shop in San Francisco and at Berkeley Horticultural Nursery in Berkeley, California. Also, feel free to follow my journey @solid_studios on Instagram. 🌱

Thanks so much for all the support!
